Courtyards on Oxford 2

The proposal is for a mixed-used building consisting of office and residential space as an extension to the existing Courtyards on Oxford campus in Forest Town in Johannesburg. In response to the location and environment, a circular building raised on columns with parking below is proposed with a solid façade facing Oxford Road.  In the centre of the building, a triple-volume atrium forms the heart of the development where people can meet, socialise and collaborate in an open-air space. The atrium is flanked by 1 250m² of office space over three levels on the south east and a single level of office space and residential units on the north west.  The office space is designed in such a way that it can be divided into smaller sectional title units as required. Facing the north west on the upper two levels are four residential 2-bedroom duplex units.  Each of these will have its own private courtyards with sunset views over Forest Town.
