Discovery Offices Sandton

“The Discovery offices are situated on the corner of Rivonia Road and Katherine Street in Sandton, the new headquarters for South Africa’s market-leading company, Discovery. The design is an embodiment of the Discovery brand and identity.

The architecture consists of nine parking basement levels, an open public ground floor, eight office levels, and a roof level with gardens and common facilities. The building offers just over 100 000 m² of rentable space. The building forms part of the first phase of the Sandon Summit urban precinct. The building mirrors the Discovery ethos, by offering lifestyle opportunities that include a running track on the roof, a yoga deck, a soccer arena, a putt-putt course, a gym, and healthy food stations. It is the largest new build project to receive a 5-Star Green Star Rating by the Green Building Council of South Africa.

 studioMAS was appointed as the Urban Architects and was responsible for the conceptual design of the buildings as well as the landscape architecture and urban design aspects of the project. The architect of record is Boogertman + Partners, and the interior architect is Paragon Group.”
